Don't You See what I Can Bring?

The past few days have been a bit of a Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith overload, I can't help it, they are having a good week, what else can I say. 

Sam Smith released a music video of one of the tracks from his new album called Leave Your Lover, in the video Sam pleads with his true love to leave their significant other for him. With a bit of a twist featuring Daisy Lowe a love triangle involving Lowe, Smith and another man suggests he is interested in her when in fact he is longing for the other guy in the video. 

This might be Sam's way of putting the rumours to rest concerning his sexuality. I didn't think this was anything to be wondering or spreading rumours about, did you? As far as I am concerned he always was openly gay and there was no reason, at all, for him to explain himself to anyone. It saddens me to think that we still live in a world where people feel they need to explain themselves and define who and what they are, hopefully one day everyone can get over it and mind their own business. 

Whatever the reason for this video all I have to say is YOU GO SAM, good for you and as usual amazing song.

Adele and Sam Smith!

Adele dominated the charts with her number one album 21 in 2012 till 2013, an impressive obliteration of any artist attempting to take over the charts. Her album changed the way we listen to soulful songs and gave the genre somewhat of a makeover if you will. I still listen to a song now and then and can't help but to get into it, she is incredible. Although there are rumours swirling around that she may be releasing her new album later this year (yes please) there has been a void that Adele left in so many of us.  Thankfully there is someone who comes close second......

I am going to see this man very very very soon, safe to say I cannot wait. Sam Smith is hands down my favourite artist at the moment, if you follow my blog I'm sure this is nothing new. He reminds of a male Adele, his voice is powerful and soulful, his lyrics are heartfelt and poignant. Smith is gearing up for his third number one single, and release of his first album, which I can't wait to get my hands on. Everyone needs a little Sam Smith in their life, a little remix never hurt anybody, enjoy <3

Coldplay

Coldplay dabuted their latest single Oceans featured on their new upcoming album Ghost Stories, the lyrics go something like this, 'I'm ready for the pain..I'm ready for the change' singer Chris Martin could be talking about his recent separation from actress Gwyneth Paltrow, I've got a feeling this new album will reveal a lot about what happened between the two of them.

Coldplay will be one of the headline acts at this years BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend in Glasgow next month. Check the video out I like it, enjoy <3
