This Media We Call Social, Is Anything But..

"We're a generation of idiots, smartphones and dumb people"

Are we too busy looking down on our phones, taking selfies and referring to our followers as friends ? This video makes you think about what we call 'social' media and the lack of physical, emotional contact these platforms provide. This video makes you think about your personal digital life, I am guilty of this...it's a Sunday afternoon and I'm sitting by the computer writing this.  It makes you think twice about what we share with the world.

Flaws and all!

17 year old, Grammy award winning singer Lorde, knows a thing or two at her young age. She posted pictures on her Twitter account of a recent performance comparing a photoshpoped blemish free image to her natural, normal problematic skin, saying ' “I find this curious - two photos from today, one edited so my skin is perfect and one real. remember flaws are ok :-).' 

It's refreshing to hear celebrities embracing their flaws, we all struggle from imperfect skin sometimes, we're only human. Embrace your imperfections, thanks Lorde follow her on Twitter . Seems only right to listen to a little bit of Lorde. Enjoy <3
