Mean Girls

'You go Glen Coco' or 'She doesn't even go here' will forever be just one of the many brilliant lines in the film Mean Girls. If you live under a rock and have never watched Tina Fey's best work you should take a look at your life and sort it out. Although it may seem like a chick flick, tacky, teen driven shit film, this is not the case or at least not entirely, far from it. Mean Girls turns 10 years old this year, which just reiterates the fact that I am getting a lot older, but also proves why a film that contains bad language, overexposed teenage girl drama and the usual mean girl antics we see in so many other films these days, has remained one of the most popular films of all time.

Any teenage girl can relate to these characters and I think many young adult woman can look back and reflect on their own experiences, especially in an environment where you are labelled and put into a 'clique'. The underlying messages are universal and can be applied by many different generations. Mean Girls is accurate till this day, girls fight dirty and sneaky which never seems to change.

This film has and always will be one of my all time favourite films, it's hilarious and does not take itself too seriously, while showcasing issues girls deal with in a light and comedic way. Happy Birthday Mean Girls.

Here are some of my favourite Mean Girls quotes:
