I love this quote, not just because everyone that knows me knows how much I love deep meaningful quotes but because Plato sums up what music does to people. Whether you want to admit it or not it influences you're mood and attitude. An upbeat tune makes me want to go out with my girls and have a good night out, a slow emotional song brings back memories of an ex boyfriend who broke my heart. A simple beat, lyric and rhythm can bring up emotions, so I will be posting my favourite songs of the moment at least once a week to share with you.
My pick of the week is by a young girl named Lorde who is from New Zealand and has recently gained a lot attention all over the world and understandably so. This young girls voice is incredible, I say young because this young woman is only SIXTEEN, yes she is not even legal yet which makes twenty three sound like fifty doesn't it, remember how old she is while you listen to her beautiful music. We'll be hearing a lot from her mark my words.
